The beautiful country of Rwanda, in central Africa, was devastated by the 1994 genocide. For several years we have been partnering with different ministries there. In 2003 we took a team to run camps for kids and to work with orphans and widows. In 2007 we set up a recording studio to release Rwandan praise and worship music and to serve as an income-generator for local ministries. We also helped YWAM Rwanda to re-launch King's Kids Rwanda by working with them to run a kids' camp. To see scenes from our mission this past summer, click on the Rwanda 07 blog at the left. In 2008, a team will return to Rwanda to work for there for several weeks. We will be setting up a computer lab in Butare, to serve as a centre where people can be trained in basic computer skills; we will also be working with YWAM Rwanda again in their ministry with widows, orphans, and the poor. The trip will run from early June to mid-July. We are looking for donations of used laptops in good condition, networking equipment, and we really need someone to come along who has good computer network skills and can train local people to maintain the system.
