Bibimbap

Bibimbap is a popular Korean dish. The word literally means "mixed rice" or "mixed meal". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables), beef, a fried egg, and gochujang (chile pepper paste). The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating. It can be served either cold (in cold bowl) or hot (in stone bowl, called dol sot bibimbap)

INGREDIENTS

Spinach
Shitake Mushrooms
Bean Sprouts
Cucumber
Zucchini
Lettuce
Carrot
Ground Beef
Egg
Black Pepper
Salt
Sesame Oil
Gochujang *

* Gochujang is a hot paste made of soy. It is used in many Korean dishes and can be purchased in any Korean market.

7. Place all ingredients over a bowl of rice and serve

8. Just before eating, add a drop of sesame oil and a spoon of gochujang. Mix and enjoy!
