What We Believe
We Believe that we must place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and accept the Word of God
as our absolute authority in all matter of faith and conduct.
As members of East Kildonan Baptist Church we affirm our beliefs in the following distinctive truths of our Christian faith:
- We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
- We believe in the One God, Creator of all, who is holy, sovereign and eternal and exists in three equal Persons,
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the absolute and essential deity of Jesus Christ; that He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life;
that he rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven and will return triumphantly for His Church.
- We believe in the deity, the person and work of the Holy Spirit who indwells all those who believe in the Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the sinful nature of man and that God in His rich grace has provided the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- We believe that there are only two ordinances to the Church that were regularly observed in the New Testament: the Lord's Supper and the Baptism.
- We believe that the local church is a company of baptized believers who have joined together for worship, instruction, fellowship and service.
- We believe in proclaiming the gospel as Jesus commanded to all people in all the world.
