Bloc Party at the Walker May 3, 09
I was lucky enough to attend the Bloc Party concert yesterday at the Walker; and holy shit. One of the best bands live. I highly recommend you see them if you like Bloc Party even just a little bit. At times it seemed that singer Kele Okereke had marbles in his mouth, but I managed to understand enough of what he was saying to yell “yeaah!” to whatever he had just said to us. I think he wanted people to get a little rowdy.
Of course the band mainly focused on the new stuff from Intimacy as well as A Weekend in the City. They did however toss in some great hits from their best album Silent Alarm. (They ended with Helicopter) I’ll post a few songs just in case you haven’t checked them out yet, as well as my one o.k. picture from the concert.
