Many students look for additional resource materials beyond what I provide in class. The books listed below contain great information and are bound to help you as you move forward into web development. When it comes to selecting a book I look for something that is a bit over my head as it gives me room to grow. The last thing I need to do is spend $50 on a book that will end up staying on a shelf for eternity after the first month. For this reason I recommend you stay away from books that promise you a 'Quick Start' or guarantee you''ll know how to do something in 48 hours, or 1 week, or 1 month, or whatever...
With each book there is buying information direct from amazon.com. Why .com and not .ca? I've found that the price is slightly better in many cases when it comes from the states (even with exchange) and is delivered just as quick. But I do recommend you shop around some.
