Anne Brontė

This Brontė sister is the least known. At first, a some what long time ago, I only knew of the other two sisters. I didn't know there was a third until I looked them up in World Book and found out about the youngest sibling. Anne Brontė only wrote two novels. Both I heard in audio form. Both were unabridged.

It's interseting to me that the only sister I never heard of is the one whose works I heard the most. I only heard one from Charlotte, none from Emily (also called Emily Jane) but the only two novels Anne ever wrote I heard. They are The Tennent of Wildfell Hall and Agnes Grey. I recall liking them even though Tennent is some what of a sad story but there is redemption at the end. Grey has a happier setting. I have nothing negative to say about both works. But with the audio version of Tennent there's a segment of the book that comes before the first chapter that wasn't included. In fact even some of the book versions don't include the preface before chapter one. I don't know why that is but it happens.

As for the two audio productions, I may or may not have already said that I enjoyed both but I don't need to hear them again. As for the preface not included in the audio version I heard, I read it on my own. It was alright.
